Mr. Hayes’ practice focuses on commercial litigation with an emphasis on construction law. He assists in the firm’s representation of owners, general contractors,
and subcontractors in a broad range of complex construction disputes in state and federal courts across the southeast region. His litigation experience
at HudsonParrottWalker includes lawsuits primarily involving construction contract disputes, negligent construction, construction defects, defective
materials, lien and bond claims, warranty claims, defective plans and specifications, design errors and omissions, negligent misrepresentations, fraud,
premises liability, and negligence claims.
Mr. Hayes has also successfully defended Georgia municipalities in a diverse range of lawsuits involving land use planning and zoning disputes, local permitting
disputes, inverse condemnation claims, civil rights violations, billboard regulation, premises liability claims, and negligence claims. He possesses
broad knowledge and insight on the various legal and practical issues faced by local governments in Georgia, particularly with respect to land use
planning and zoning. Mr. Hayes is experienced in reviewing and drafting ordinances, presenting at public meetings, and handling local hearings and
